Adding effects to your video project has become the most important part when you are editing your video. Using AVS Video Editor, you can add various video effects like grayscale which can be used to make black-white video, invert ellipse uses to give your video somehighlights, invert which uses to change video fragment colors, and many more. The next section will be discussed their details.
The first thing you should do to add effects on your video project is by selecting an effect to add. This can be done after importing your video into Timeline/Storyboard Area. To add the effect, you just need to click Video Effects button which can be found in Menu Panes. There you will find Files and Effects Area where you can find all the effects of video you can choose to be applied to your videoproject. You can view the effects and changed how to display them by clicking View and choose View As then choose one kind of effects display whether thumbnails, list, or details. Actually, you can use Arrange Icons by in View, but it will be unavailable if Video Effectspane clicked.
The second step is choosing the right place of the video effect on your project according to your desire. Just right-click the effects you want and choose Video Effect Add-Replace to use the effects or replace the previous effects with the new ones. You can also do drag and drop to apply effects on your project in your Timeline.
The third is setting the duration effect on your project. This step can be done by left-clicking and pressing the Duration button on the Timeline Panel. You can also do right-clicking to the necessary effect and select Duration option. Set your own desire duration by entering the number through your keyboard or arrow buttons. To apply the duration setting you made, you just need to click the OK button. You can also drag the effect boundaries to apply the effect.
The fourth step is making some changes using the effect properties. Using this program, you can change your properties effect by pressing the effect you need on the Timeline and then click Edit Effect on Timeline Panel. To simplify, you can just do right-clicking in the effect and edit it. You will see the Video Effect dialog box in which you can find Properties Area. There, you can select the area of effect applied in thedropdownlist Mask. Some options you can choose such as none, polygon, rectangle and ellipse. Choosing none means you want to apply the properties setting to all effects on your project. You can also find other effect properties like Draw, Adjust, Transform and Effect.
The fifth is doing the fade areas setting. Doing this thing, you just need to use the slider located under preview area. Setting the fade-in means you set area at where your video reflection starts which maximum capacity is 100% while Fade-out means setting area at where the effects of your video will be reduced with maximum choices to make the effect disappears. To set the effects, you just need to slide the slider to the right for fade out and left for fade in. The last step in adding effects to your project can be done by looking on the preview ofeffects which have been applied. This can be simply done by using playback controls located under slider area or you can use Preview Area in Main Window.
As adding effects using AVS Video Editor is easy, to remove the effects will not be difficult too. You just need to select the effect and press Timeline Panel then Delete Object which can actually be done by right-clicking too.
